2013-2014 Ski Season
June 7, 2014
This year didn't really start out with a bang in the Canadian Rockies, and we got almost no snow through January and February, but I still had a great season.
My goal this year was to get out into the backcountry more, but the combination of me being a novice AT skier and poor avalanche conditions kept me from exploring much this winter. I am glad to say that I made a whole bunch of new friends in the Wild Terrain Freeriders took me in and showed me the ropes. Thanks to Matt, James, Mike, and all of the others that helped me out, and pushed my limits.
I spent most of my season skiing at Sunshine Village, both in bounds, and ski touring the area. This was my 18th consecutive season with a seasons pass at Sunshine, and I will be continuing that tradition next year.
Thanks also to my wife Amanda, brother Fraser, friends Graham, Tom, and so many others that made it a memorable season.
